Mobile language learning is a field of research that imagines, exploresand evaluates new learning designs incorporating learner mobility acrossa variety of in-class and out-of class settings. It is also an educationalpractice that takes advantage of the widespread availability of mobiledevices and applications. Finally it is an everyday informal activity for many language learners, which may complement and enrich theirscheduled formal learning. The primary aim of this talk is to share, and reflect on, a range of examples of mobile language learning from anumber of projects and experiments, drawing on most recentexperiences as well as a few from the past 20 years. The dawn of anewera of “intelligent assistants” adds to the rich tapestry of mobile learning possibilities, while also posing some intriguing challenges.

主讲人简介：Professor Agnes Maria Kukulska-Hulme是英国开放大学教育技术学院教授、博导、教育技术一移动语言学习专家，现为国家外专局高端引智项目高端专家，北京外国语大学高端专家。曾任国际移动学习协会主席，现任ReCALL、SYSTEM、RPTEL、International Journal of Mobile and B1ended Learning等知名国际期刊编委，出版多部学术著作，发表学术论文百余篇。悉尼科技大学、台湾国立中央大学、马德里远程教育大学访问学者;联合国教科文组织、剑桥大学出版社、加拿大学习共同体等机构教育政策和实践指南主要撰写人;主持欧盟、英国文化委员会、英国研究理事会、梅隆基金会等多个研究项目;受邀在国际会议中作主旨发言或特邀报告83次。张志纯副教授为北京外国语大学网络教育学院院长助理，负责此次专家在中国境内的日程安排，并与Professor Agnes Maria Kukulska-Hulme共同主持讲座后的workshop。
